Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to construct a new single-story building, 28,500 square feet. The primary function of the facility will be for office utilization (to include a secure area). Exterior finishes will consist primarily of split-face concrete masonry units (CMU) and a standing seam metal roof. The project will also include storm drainage and landscaping. The project site is adjacent to an active military airfield and consists of existing asphalt pavement. Six optional line items will be included in the solicitation for additional building demolition, parking lot construction, and landscaping. An industry day and site visit are tentatively scheduled for 23 May 07 and 12 Jun 07, respectively. The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price with a magnitude between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Work to be performed under the contract will be within the North American Classification System (NAICS) code as 236210 - Industrial Building Construction.
