PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3,4 & 5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the EEC Walkway Replacement project for Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Peninsula, OH. Work consists of complete removal of an estimated 13,130 square feet of walking surface to include mostly brick pavers, uneven asphalt trail connection points and sinking concrete slab at all three campuses and replace with 6-inch-thick reinforced solid colored concrete. Replace 1800 square feet brick paver octagon shaped fire circle with concrete rebuild benches. Add new sidewalk with curb along roadway measuring 5 feet wide by 535 feet long estimated 2675 square feet. Replace steps and landings, repair or replace downspout drainage, replace handrails at all three campuses, replace wooded deck and concrete pad on second story ADA ramp, replace lighting bollard shells, repair retaining wall, install trough drains, remove trees and install ADA warning pads per regulation. Contractor responsible for verifying all measurements and quantities before ordering material. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6420R0015. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by June 2020 with performance to begin in June 2020. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Summit County, OH will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238110, and the size standard is $16.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available late April ¿ early May 2020 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM/FBO website at https://beta.sam.gov/search?index=opp and FedConnect website at https://www.fedconnect.net.
