SMALL BUSINESS COMPETIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM ACQUISITION
Stream stabilization projects: (DSR LA 06-019 & 020). This project has 2 work areas called reach 1 & 2. Reach 1 is on a tributary to Keiser Creek and is located at 222 Newton Road, Scranton PA. The project starts at the road culvert outlet in Mrs. Kujawskifeets yard. From the culvert 80feet of grouted R-6 riprap channel is planned for installation. The grouted riprap channel connects into an existing riprap lined channel which extends approximately 150 feet downstream. At the end of the existing rock channel extensive erosion begins and a riprap lined channel is planned for 170feet. Reach 2 is on Lindy Creek and is accessed from 2711 Frink Street, Scranton PA. Severe streambank erosion is planned to be stabilized with 260 feet of R-8 riprap. See www.fbo.gov for specifications and drawings.
The magnitude of this projects is between $100,000 and $ 250,000.

The rip rap size to use on this project is the size specified on the rip rap specification. All other references to size are to be disregarded.
