Stream stabilization projects: (DSR BR-06-011 & BR-06-012).
BR-06-11 (Mast): The purpose of this proposed project is to stabilize approximately 335 feet of an eroding bank of Wappasening Creek in order to protect an adjacent home and barn. This area will be regraded and riprap installed. Gravel deposition and woody debris will be removed, from the locations flagged by the COTR, as necessary to meet the grades required for the riprap installation and to relieve stream flow against the eroding bank. These areas will be graded to match the existing bed grade upstream and downstream of the excavation.
BR-06-12 (Smith): This project includes the installation of 50 feet of riprap stabilization along Wappasening Creek to protect an adjacent veal barn. Banks will be excavated to the required slopes and excess material will be removed to an off-site location selected by the Contractor.
The magnitude of this projects is between $25,000 and $100,000.
