Provide all labor, material, and equipment to design and build one new 30 foot wide and 90 foot long, cold storage building. Base Bid Item: The Contractor shall design and build the concrete building foundation, interior floor slab, exterior apron and splashpad. This building shall be a clear span, preengineered, wood post type construction with wood frame and wood roof trusses, preformed metal siding and roofing panels, vented ridge, eave panels, rooftop ventilator, base and corner trim, translucent wall panels, double slope roof, gutter, downspouts and downspout extensions, electrically and manually operated doors, personnel doors, interior and exterior lighting. Deductive Base Bid Item: Delete the requirement for electrically operated overhead doors. Instead the overhead doors shall be manually operated. The work is located at Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge, Walden, Colorado. The performance period is 120 calendar days (30 days for design; 30 days for review; 60 days for construction). The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 20, 2005 with a closing date of on or about August 19, 2005.
