This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of prime construction contractors interested in submitting a proposal to provide construction services in support of projects located in Al Udeid, Qatar. The project is described as 'Qatar Warehouse'. The solicitation consists of the following: (1) Provide a warehouse facility, pre-engineered metal building structure, including but not limited to Masonry/stucco fa ade, insulated metal panels at walls and roof, high security fence, and sunshade structures at parking area, etc. (2) Design/Construct all site work to include utilities, electrical, and associated work outlined in the solicitation documents. Performance period for this project is 360 days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and Specifications: The solicitation will be provided to the prime contractors who have requested a copy. The solicitation will not be provided to subcontractors, suppliers or vendors. Contracting Procedures: The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP). Contract award will be based upon Best Value Trade Off (BVTO) proposal. The evaluation will include both Non-Price and Price factors. The Request for Proposal will contain complete evaluation criteria. The acquisition will result in a single firm fixed price construction contract awarded based on BVTO determination. Acquisition Time Line: The RFP will be issued on or about January 12, 2011. A Site Visit will be conducted and information on the date and time of the site visit will be conveyed in the RFP. Attendance is not mandatory.
