GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This project involves the demolition of the existing Swan Observatory and the construction of a new observatory. Work also involves modification of the existing boardwalk to accommodate the new structure.

PROJECT LOCATION:
This project is approximately 14 miles south of the City of Petersburg, Alaska via the Mitkof Highway. Petersburg is a full service town with daily jet service and frequent barge and Alaska ferry docking.

PRICE RANGE:
The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000.

PERFORMANCE PERIOD:
The performance period is 365 calendar days.

SOLICITATION DETAILS:
The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about August 15, 2007 for viewing and printing. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. If unable to successfully obtain the solicitation from the internet, then a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6241. Fax requests must reference solicitation number AG-0116-S-07-0052. Telephone requests will not be honored. Quotes will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to be considered for any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases.
