Synopsis:
Watson Sag Levee Repairs, City of Watson, Chippewa County, Minnesota.

The City of Watson, Mn is located near Lac Qui Parle Lakes, Mn. This project involves construction of levees along the diversion channel. There are 5 different repair areas along the stretch of levee that require repair. Construction consists of placing approximately 4800 cubic yards of riprap and approximately 9700 cubic yards of bedding material in the damaged areas.

The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price is between $250,000 and $500,000. This is a sole source set aside per authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(5). Northwest Constructors Inc of Mahnomen, Mn, (phone 218-935-5555) has been identified as the sole source 8(a) contractor.

The solicitation is scheduled to be issued to the contractor on or about May 22, 2009. The offer Due Date will be approximately 30 days thereafter.
