This project is being performed as a requirement of a Biological Opinion issued by National Marine fisheries Service (NMFS). The actual work to done each year is dependent upon the need for widening and deepening the channel and receipt of funding. The project area is located on the lower Yuba River at Daguerre Point Dam, Yuba County, California. Access to the work site is through a controlled gate off private property, approximately 10 miles east of Marysville, California. Traveling east along Hammonton-Smartsville Road turning left on Hammonton Road and follow dirt road to job site. The purpose of this contracted project is to maintain an adequate water depth across the face of the dam to provide unimpeded fish passage, from the fish ladders, to the main channel upstream from Daguerre Point Dam. A site visit will be scheduled for interested contractors.
The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, material, equipment, etc., necessary to perform all work in strict accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the contract to include all attachments thereto. The contract's performance period shall begin upon contract award (NLT August 01, 2019) and proceed until July 31, 2020, which will be the Base Year. At the discretion of the Government, Option Years may be exercised. The Option Years will only be exercised if the channel has filled in such that the channel dimensions have become less than 30 feet wide by 3 feet deep.
