The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Southern Tier Construction Team, will be issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) (VA69D-15-B-0541) for the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center (JBVAMC), 820 South Damen Ave, Chicago, IL. The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and qualified supervision to complete the installation and testing of the sump pump(s) with check valve(s), pit assemblies, drainage line to include four (4) floor drains, alternating controllers and high water audible alarm.
For this requirement, the VA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for a period of performance of thirty (30) Calendar Days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted and this construction project is a set-aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs).The solicitation will be issued on/about March 12, 2015 with the bid opening on/about March 27, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. thru 12:00 pm. CST. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation.
The project magnitude range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 237110; size standard $36.5 million applies.
In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database or hold a "Re-verification" symbol listed next to the firm's name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE, prior to submitting a proposal on this solicitation.
