The Forest Service will be accepting proposals for the reconditioning of 5.30 miles of Rd 4N47 on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Work includes, but is not limited to, placing 4-inch aggregate base from a Forest Service stockpile, placement of a double chip seal consisting of 220 tons oil and 1,941 tons chips. An additive it of Fog Seal and fog line striping is included.LOCATION: The project area is located on the Hayfork Ranger District in Trinity County. From Redding, California travel approximately 80 mile west on Hwy 299 to FS Road 4N16. Turn left on FS Rd 4N16 and travel approximately 6 miles to FS Rd 4N47 (Corral Bottom). Turn west on FS Rd 4N47 and travel approximately 5 miles to the junction with 4N05 which is the beginning of the project. The project ends at the junction with 5N60. CONTRACT TIME is 30 days. Estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. Work is estimated to start July 15, 2003. Proposal due date is estimated as July 9, with an estimated issue date of the solicitation on June 9.
