This contract is for the reclamation work at the Gass Reclamation High Priority project located on Sand Mountain near New Home, Dade County, Georgia. The work required under this contract includes regrading abandoned strip pits to eliminate high walls, construction of drainage channels, regrading of existing spoil piles, and revegetation of all disturbed areas. Work will consist of: mobilization and demobilization of the contractor's labor, equipment and materials; site preparation; sediment control; excavation/grading; construction of drainage channels; placement of hdpe pipe; road upgrade/restoration; revegetation of all disturbed areas; and tree planting. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be available to prospective bidders on or about August 10, 2009. The IFB will include the date, time and directions to the meeting place for the pre-bid meeting to be conducted on August 27, 2009. It is anticipated that bids will be opened on or about September 14, 2009 (an original hard copy bid will be due at the depository and on the date and time identified in the IFB.
