The Alaska VA Healthcare System & Regional Office, located at 2925 DeBarr Rd., Anchorage, Alaska 99508 will accept requests for the Headstone Raise & Realignment services. Solicitation IFB-910-0002-03. The VA intends to award a contract for Headstone Raise & Realignment services defined as: Work consisting of resetting headstones that are already in place, which have shifted out of vertical and/or horizontal alignment, inventory, backfilling voids around upright headstones with suitable soil, cleaning, topsoiling and final turf establishment. This work must be done while assuring accurate placement of upright marble headstones on gravesites at the Fort Richardson National Cemetery. The contractor shall provide all supervision, professional advice/guidance, labor, parts, materials, equipment, and personnel, to provide these services. Project to include 3500 upright marble headstones that require raising and realignment, cleaning, backfilling to grade. Backfill may be required on as many as 4200 upright headstones as approximately 700 headstones will need to be adjust by bump & run method (not raised).
