Work consists of mobilization, construction staking, clearing and grubbing, excavation, rock excavation, gully crossing, grade dips, slash filters, rock rubble sections, individual rock removal, switchbacks, ditches, trail reconstruction, posts and signs and bulletin boards. The Home-Pipe CDNST Construction project is located on the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, Butte Ranger District, Silver Bow County, Montana. Station 437+68, EOP of the project, is located south of Highway 2 at Pipestone Pass. The Homestake Trailhead is located just south of the I-90 interchange at Homestake Pass. The EOP of the trail project can be accessed from Butte, Montana, by traveling south on Harrison Avenue to the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Highway 2, then traveling east on Highway 2 to Pipestone Pass. Work is estimated to begin around July 16, 2007, with completion by August 2, 2008 (approximately 100 days). Magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
