The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking a responsible Contractor for a project - "Landscape Construction of the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory Courtyard for the areas defined as the Children's Garden and Contemplation Garden." Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 020102. The U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory Courtyard is located at 245 First Street, S.W., Washington, D.C. Work includes but is not limited to earthwork preparation including excavation for bamboo planting areas and wood fibre paving system, supply and installation of the following: wood fiber paving system with subsurface drainage; a root barrier system; soil preparation and mixes for planting beds, rock outcrop pockets, bamboo planting areas and containers; finish grading of landscape areas; provide and install all landscape tree and plant materials as noted; pool lighting, fountains, and pumps. All work is to be completed in 120 calendar days or less. It is estimated that the value of the work to be performed for the project will be between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
