The solicitation for this project shall be posted on the FedBizOpps website on or about 15 days from today. It is the purpose of this solicitation to secure services to upgrade the lookout lightning protection systems on the Middle Fork Peak, Twin Peaks, and Long Tom Lookouts. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the work as detailed on the drawings and as stated in the specifications. All work shall be done by state licensed or Forest Service approved electricians, with nationally recognized certification as a lightning protection installer such as a Certified Master Installer with the Lightning Protection Institute. The estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The estimated start date for this project is around the first part of September 2003.
