The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is soliciting prospective contractors for Maintenance Dredging of Scarborough River, Maine. The work consists of approximately 100,000 cubic yards of silt and sand from the 6 foot channel and 6 foot anchorage. Dredged material shall be removed using a hydraulic dredge. The dredged material will be disposed of on the nearby Western Beach, adjacent to the Federal Entrance Channel. Due to environmental restrictions dredging operations at the proje ct site will only be permitted from September 1 through March 1. All dredging work must be completed within one dredging season. The NAICS code for this Procurement is 237990, with a Size Standard of $17.02 million. This solicitation is issued on an unre stricted basis. The estimated issue date for this procurement is on or about 18 August 2004. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitation.
