" Proposed Issue Date: July 30, 2003 " Title of Project: Reconstruct B3, B4 Gatehouses " Description: The work consists of the removal of three gatehouses and the construction of two new ballistic-resistant gatehouses referenced as B3 and B4; construction of ornamental metal gates and fencing; construction of retaining walls; installation of sidewalk paving; and associated site, utility, and architectural work. The Government will require the use of roadways at all times for official, permitted, or emergency vehicle access throughout the length of the contract. Pedestrian access to Government facilities within the complex must be maintained at all times. " Type of Procurement: A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government will consider an offeror's technical capability in comparison to its price. " Estimated price range, $500,000 to $2,500,000. " Time for completion, 270 calendar days.
