Description of Synopsis: The contractor shall be required to repave/resurface the runway 523 at the Fort Campbell Army Airfield, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Work will consist of removal of approximately 4 inches of asphalt pavement and replacement with new asphalt paving. Specifically, the contractor shall apply Bituminous Tack Coat materials using the hot mixed asphalt method for airfields. All testing shall be performed by the contractor for compaction and grade requirements. Also, the contractor shall be responsible for performing sodding as indicated, cold milling of bituminous pavements, and ensuring pavement is properly grooved and stripped . The Period of Performance is 120 days are follows: Preparatory and Testing is 30 days; Milling and Paving is 45 days; Curing is 30 days, and Grooving and Stripping is 15 days; there will be no deviation from the period of performance. The contract typ e will be firm fixed price. The magnitude of the project is between $5Million and $10Million. NAICS is 237310/$31 Million.
