The 341st Contracting Squadron announces the upcoming solicitation for Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) construction services at Malmstrom AFB, MT. The government will be soliciting for the award of two Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. This solicitation will be issued for 8(a) competitive Set-Aside companies. Individual, firm-fixed priced task orders (TO) will be issued using the Facilities Construction Cost Data by RS Means (Unit Price Book) with a coefficient. Contract award will be based on best value using past-performance-price trade-off procedures and technical acceptability. Significant sub-contracting opportunities can be expected to include a variety of trades: roofing, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and road construction. The performance period for this contract shall consist of one base year with an option to extend up to four additional years, for a possible period of five years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 236220, with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. The maximum potential dollar value for each awarded contract is up to $20,000,000.00; this is an aggregate value that includes both the base year (up to $4 MIL) and each of the four option years. The government anticipates the Request of Proposal to be issued on or about 20 July 2006 and will close 30 calendar days after being posted.
