Sand Spring Gog Pile located in Frostburg, Allegany County, MD. A section of a coal refuse pile has become unstable due to the effects of flooding associated with Hurricane Ivan in 2004. The purpose of this project is to stabilize the current condition of the refuse pile. The abatement will include regrading activity involving off site disposal, riprap placement, and revegetation. A pre bid conference is scheduled for July 20 at 10:30. Bids are due on July 27, 2006 at 1:00 PM. The estimated cost of this project is between $150,000 and $175,000.
