The work consists of stabilizing two islands at the Audubon National Wildlife Refuge by construction of riprap windrows, riprap revetments, earth dike, and importing borrow from nearby designated borrow sites. Work items include: Furnishing and installing 3882 square yards of filter fabric; furnishing and placing 1576 cubic yards of 7- to 18-inch riprap; excavating, placing and compacting 2990 cubic yards of embankment; placing 169 cubic yards of topsoil; seeding 0.2 acre; and seeding the 1-acre borrow area. The estimated price range of the work is $25,000 - $100,000. The North American Industry Classificaton System (NASICS) code is 237990 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. Competition is unrestricted as a designated industry under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (FAR 19.10).
