The intent of this project is to provide equipment, materials, services and personnel to remove two existing corrugated metal pipes and replace them with two steel structural plate arches on reinforced concrete footings. Simulated streambed materials will be placed between the footings and then shaped to simulate a natural channel. The roadway will then be reestablished to the existing alignment and grades at the lower site and a slightly lower vertical alignment at the upper site. At one of the sites, a portion of an eroded embankment will be reconstructed and two rolling dips constructed. Stringent dewatering, erosion and sediment control measures will be required to meet State of Oregon water quality standards. This project is located on the Hebo Ranger District, Siuslaw National Forest, Tillamook County, Oregon. The successful Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to accomplish all work necessary. The Government estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. Technical and price proposals are due by close of business on May 11, 2004. The successful Contractor shall also be required to submit performance and payment bonds (100% each) prior to start of work. Contract time is 60 calendar days. Estimated start work date is August 6, 2004. This solicitation is a Total Hubzone set-aside. The solicitation packet will be posted in FedBizOpps on or about April 9, 2004.
