Island 77 will be reconstructed by regrading the remaining existing island 77 and importing borrow from another nearby island in Lake Audubon. The reconstructed island will be approx. 1 acre in size and will have 3:1 sideslopes. The sideslopes will be protected by riprap placed over a geotextile. The top of the island will be topsoiled and reseeded with DNC. The work will be performed in the winter and will require hauling equipment and materials over the frozen surface of Lake Audubon. The project must be completed by March 15, 2003, provided that the ice is sufficiently thick to support construction equipment. Competition is unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (FAR 19.10).
