Notice of Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns: (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions. As used in this provision: "Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern" (1) Means a small business concern (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service-disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). The Lebanon VA Medical Center intends to award a contract for a project entitled "Smoking Shelter Building 1". Work shall include provision of all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and quality assurance necessary to install a smoking shelter, a deck, access to an existing connecting corridor via an automatic swing door, and landscaping stone; which requires demolition, aluminum building construction, electrical construction, and landscaping at the VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, Pennsylvania; all in accordance with 5 drawings dated 7/14/05 for project number 595-05-112 entitled "Smoking Shelter Building 1". This will be a firm-fixed price contract. NAICS code is 236220, with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. Estimated construction cost is in the range of $100,000 to $250,000.
