650-CSI-351 Renovate and Upgrade Angio OR Suite VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI 02908 Procurement Number: 36C24124R0065 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for Request for Proposals (RFP) will be posted on or about June 17, 2024. The VA Medical Center located in Providence, RI, has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, and supervision necessary to perform work under the 650-CSI-351 Renovate and Upgrade Angio OR Suite project. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures/equipment, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Renovate and Upgrade Angio OR Suite at VA Providence HS, Providence, Rhode Island as required by drawings and specifications. This project shall include, but not be limited to general construction, demolition, utility installation, finish work and other items as contained within the construction documents. After award, but prior to the start of any field work, the contractor shall contact the VA COR to review proposed methods and plans for completion of work and to review infection control procedures, interim life safety procedures, above ceiling and wall penetration permits, hot work permits and the contractor s site-specific safety plan. Contractor employees should adhere to the existing COVID-19 safety and mitigation measures at their local VAPHS. All work shall be completed in accordance with the approved contract documents. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 and the size standard is $45.0 million. The solicitation is being issued in the best value continuum described in FAR Part 15.101. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
