The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center anticipates a need to procure (5) Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen AG (ZF AG) Transmission, Mechanical; used as part of the main propulsion systems on the 87' CPB Coast Patrol Boats. The Transmission, Mechanical is ZF-AG part number 3082 011 123, NSN: 2010-12-347-4887. This requirement must be completed utilizing only genuine ZF-AG parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). It is the government's belief that only ZF AG, or authorized distributors can provide these critical parts. Remanufactured or Aftermarket parts are not acceptable. The Coast Guard does not own the rights to the technical data necessary to evaluate other parts.

Period of Performance: It is anticipated that a one-time firm, fixed priced contract will be awarded.

Set aside decisions may be based on the results of this notice. No solicitation exists at this time; therefore, please do not request a copy of the solicitation. This notice is for inquiry purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited.

Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide the supplies described are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 14 calendar days from the day this notice is posted.

Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. Submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited.
