REQUEST FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at Lake Stevens City Hall, 1812 Main Street, P.O. Box 257, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 until 10:00 A.M., local time, on June 10, 2021 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the due date and time may not be considered. Bidders shall submit 1 Original of the bid proposal in a sealed envelope labeled with the bidder’s name, address, request for bid number (20006) and title (City of Lake Stevens – Festival Street). The project consists of constructing a concrete curbless street, concrete plaza, sidewalks, stormwater improvements, timber gateway sign, gates, joint utility trench, street HMA paving, bike racks, bollards, concrete seat wall, illumination, landscaping, and channelization. The project will take place within the City of Lake Stevens. An optional pre-bid site walk will be held on June 1, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $2,050,000. Any addenda to this bid will be posted on this site and it is the responsibility of the bidder to check the site for any postings during the bid period. The City will maintain a plan holders list at lakestevenswa.gov/bids.aspx. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond (with an authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Lake Stevens in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a bid proposal deposit. The City of Lake Stevens reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any immaterial irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period of sixty (60) days.
