The City of Fife is soliciting statements of qualifications from professional engineering consultants to provide construction management and inspection services for the City of Fife North Levee Road & Frank Albert Road Intersection Safety Improvements. This agreement will be approximately one year in duration with the option for the City of Fife to extend it for additional time and money, if necessary. This federally funded project has EEO requirements that must be adhered to. Project has a mandatory 0% DBE goal. The North Levee Road & Frank Albert Road Intersection Safety Improvement project will construct a MSE wall on the NE side of the intersection. Widen the travel lanes to better accommodate simultaneous vehicle turning movements: Install three light standards with a light emitting diode (LED) luminaire and install guardrails. The procurement schedule is anticipated from May 16 to October 1, 2024. Selection of firms will be based on the following criteria: Key personnel and experience with construction management and inspection of PS&E for municipal projects. Prior past performance experience in successfully completing similar projects Demonstrated knowledge of federal funding audits and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. Approach to the project and ability to meet schedule. Familiarity with City of Fife standards and procedures Familiarity with Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) and FHWA standards and Construction Manual requirements Ability to monitor traffic control plan implementation Be able to perform cultural resource monitoring Qualification material shall be submitted and emailed to: Ken Gunther, PE, Assistant Public Works Director, Fife City Hall, 5411 23rd Street E, Fife, WA 98424, [email protected] by 10 AM on April 30, 2024. When submitting hard copies, a minimum of three copies of the statement of qualifications shall be submitted. Each submittal may be no more than 10 double sided pages in length, including cover letter and no less than 12-point font for body of text. Upon review of the submittals, selected firms will be invited for interviews. After the City and WSDOT Local Programs staff interview panel selects the most qualified firm, the City will commence contract negotiation of a proposed scope, actual cost plus a fix fee contract for the project.
