Contractor will provide Hepatitis HCV and HBV test kits for viral load analysis. Kits must be able to detect HCV and HBV antibodies using an enzyme immunoassay (EIA). Kits must be FDA approved PCR HCV assays and compatible with existing CDC Government equipment, i.e. manufactured by Roche Diagnostics to run HCV RNA load analysis. A requirements contract is contemplated with shipments to domestic locations (Atlanta, GA). The contract period shall be for one (1) base year with two (2) twelve (12) month option years. Solicitation will be issued on approximately Dec. 24, 2002 to Roche Diagnostics, Indianapolis, IN, on a sole source basis. Roche is the only known source capable of furnishing kits of this type that is FDA approved and compatible with above mentioned Government equipment. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
