Continual purchase from Roche Diagnostics Corp. (Roche) for the reagents to perform HIV, HBV and HCV Load Testing for patients. Only reagents from Roche can be run on the Roche instrumentation. Compatibility of the reagents to the specifically designed instrumentation is critical to perform the required Pathology patient testing. Roche is the only manufacturer of HBV, HIV, HCV assay testing equipment that offers 1) fully automated real-lime PCR amplification detection; 2) wide linear dynamic range; and 3) an automated walk-away system. These unique features are protected by United States patents 7668663, 7680868. 7844403, 6255477 and 7371830.
